Slow Wi-Fi and dropped calls usually come from poor planning, not slow internet. Thick concrete walls, several floors and outdoor areas all weaken a single router's signal. We start by surveying your space, checking where people work and relax, and measuring how the signal behaves. From there we design a network with the right number of access points, cabled back properly, so coverage is even across the property.
For businesses we add managed switches, separate networks for staff, guests and cameras, and a firewall from brands such as Fortinet or Cisco. For villas we often use Ubiquiti access points or mesh systems with wired backhaul. Every installation is tested room by room, documented and handed over with clear passwords and admin access, so you stay in control of your own network.

How we design your network
We begin with how you use the space. A family villa needs strong coverage in bedrooms, the majlis, the garden and the pool area. An office needs reliable connections for desks, meeting rooms, printers and phones. We map these areas, note the walls and floors in between, and decide where each access point should go.
- We place access points on ceilings or high walls for the widest coverage.
- We cable each access point back to a central switch wherever possible.
- We test signal strength and speed in every room before handover.
If you already have equipment, we check whether it can be reused. Sometimes a few well-placed access points and a better switch solve the problem without replacing everything. When new hardware is needed, we explain why and list it clearly in a fixed written quote.
Wired backhaul, Wi-Fi 6 and network segments
These terms come up often. Here is what they mean for you.
- Wired backhaul: each access point connects to the network by cable, not by relaying wireless signal. This keeps speeds high far from the router.
- Mesh: several units work as one network, so your devices move between them as you walk around. Mesh works best with wired backhaul.
- Wi-Fi 6 and 6E: newer standards that handle many connected devices better. Wi-Fi 6E adds the 6 GHz band, which is less crowded but has shorter range.
- Network segments (VLANs): guests, staff, cameras and smart devices sit on separate networks, so a problem on one does not affect the others.
- Firewall: it controls what enters and leaves your network and allows secure remote access for your team.

Why networks need extra care in UAE buildings
Many villas and buildings in the UAE use reinforced concrete, block walls and large basements, which block wireless signals. Outdoor areas need access points that tolerate heat and dust. Network cupboards are often small and warm, so we plan for ventilation and keep equipment within its rated temperature.
A good network also supports everything else in the building: cameras, intercoms, access control and smart home devices all depend on it. When cabling is part of the job, our structured cabling team runs and tests every cable to a clear standard.
Ideal for
- Villas with several floors
- Offices and co-working spaces
- Retail shops and restaurants
- Warehouses and outdoor yards
- Clinics and small hotels

Questions about this service
How can I get strong Wi-Fi in every room of my villa?
Strong Wi-Fi across a villa usually needs several access points rather than one router, because concrete walls and multiple floors block signal. The best results come from ceiling or wall access points connected by Ethernet cable back to a central switch, all managed as one network so devices move between them smoothly. maxclick surveys the villa and plans access point positions for full coverage, including outdoor areas.
Is mesh Wi-Fi or wired access points better for a villa?
Wired access points are generally more reliable for villas because each one gets full bandwidth through an Ethernet cable. Mesh Wi-Fi connects units wirelessly and is easier to add where cables cannot be run, but performance can drop with each wireless hop. Many systems combine both, using cable where possible and wireless backhaul only where needed. maxclick recommends the right mix after checking your cabling.
What is Wi-Fi 6 and do I need it?
Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) is a newer wireless standard that handles many connected devices more efficiently than older Wi-Fi, which helps busy homes and offices with phones, laptops, TVs and smart devices. Wi-Fi 6E adds the 6 GHz band for less congestion where devices support it. You benefit most when both the access points and your devices support the standard. maxclick can advise whether upgrading makes sense for you.
How do you set up a network for a small office in Dubai?
An office network setup usually includes a firewall to protect the internet connection, managed switches, Wi-Fi access points, structured cabling to each desk and a small rack for the equipment. Separate networks for staff, guests and devices such as cameras improve security. maxclick designs and installs office networks using brands such as Cisco, Fortinet and Ubiquiti, then documents the setup and passwords at handover.
Why is my office internet slow even with a fast connection?
Slow internet in an office often comes from the internal network rather than the service provider. Common causes include an overloaded or consumer-grade router, poorly placed Wi-Fi, damaged or old cabling, unmanaged switches, devices using too much bandwidth and interference between neighbouring networks. A network assessment identifies the bottleneck. maxclick can test your network and recommend targeted fixes before suggesting any new equipment.
What is a firewall and does my business need one?
A firewall controls the traffic between your network and the internet, blocking unwanted access and filtering threats. Most businesses benefit from a dedicated firewall rather than relying on the provider's router, especially if you store customer data, allow remote work or run cameras and other connected devices. Business firewalls from brands such as Fortinet also support secure VPN access. maxclick installs and configures firewalls for offices.
